Thank you for your interest in volunteering!

Below are some of our current volunteer needs, many of which are at the Hospitality House family shelter in Rockport or The Landing Place youth program in Rockland.

If you would like to become a volunteer, ask a question, or donate a service not listed below, please complete our volunteer form located at the bottom of this page. Some volunteer positions require background checks and training.

We are grateful for your support!

We are always in search of enthusiastic volunteers to support the littlest members of our community while their parents attend appointments, classes, look for employment, or tend to other needs. If you have experience looking after children, please consider becoming a volunteer babysitter.

Youth Activities

Do you enjoy facilitating hands-on activities or field trips for youth, from arts to cooking to outdoor adventures? We have opportunities to volunteer with kids of all ages, or if you prefer to work exclusively with teens, we can place you at The Landing Place.

Gardening & Yardwork

If getting outside is more your thing, our vegetable gardens are growing by leaps and bounds in an attempt to eradicate food insecurity for our clients. And, we need occasional help with yard work. Seasonal opportunities (March-October) exist to work in the gardens.

Food Prep & Delivery

Baking cookies at TLP

Twice a week, teams of volunteers cook and deliver a delicious warm supper to The Landing Place youth center drop-in program. We host family-friendly barbecues in the summer for clients and friends at our Rockport campus. And, we need volunteers to transport fresh-rescue and surplus food to our food pantry.

Mentors play unique roles in the lives of KCHC clients. Some provide basic social support for clients who may have limited personal relationships in the community. Others provide more specialized support related to a specific skillset or interest. Our hope is that mentors become role models and provide much needed peer support for adult and youth clients.

We are in the business of finding people homes. Part of that process includes moving folks into their new apartments, as well as transporting furniture donated from the community to and from our Rockport campus. If you have a truck or van, we would love to add you to our list of potential movers.

Special Events

Throughout the year, we organize many special events, from fundraisers to client outings to holiday parties. If you enjoy supporting fun, community events, we will add you to our list of event volunteers and contact you to sign up for these fun opportunities.
